FAQs
What are events?
Social impact events come in all shapes and sizes. If you organize volunteering projects in your local community, bring people together to rally for civic & global issues, or teach yoga/wellness classes – this is social impact and you can create these events on Glocal, among many others.
How do I create an event?
To create your own event go to Create an Event under “Events”. You can track unlimited events with your free Host profile
How are my events doing?
You can track overall event performance under “Events”. Here you’ll find attendance breakdown across events, the total number of guest hours, and your average events rating. The donuts show your checked-in guest demographics. Select “View Details” on an individual event to review by event, including an overview of the event experience survey, completed by your guests at the event.
How do you track event experiences?
Once an event has finished, people are notified to share their event experience. A quick survey when people are still in the moment. The questions asked are chosen by Hosts when they create their event. Remember questions are answered with star ratings, so keep that in mind when you’re writing them.
How do people see my event in the app?
Glocal users will see your event in their event feed if they are within 75 miles of its location. By selecting it, they’ll view the description you entered when you created the event. This is where they can sign up and follow you. See the Glocal Flow for more details.
How do people get rewarded?
Glocal pays people our digital currency, Ayni, for social impact hours organized by Hosts. Ayni can be exchanged for products, points or experiences from community-friendly brands. People exchange their Ayni to for rewards in our store. Once purchased, they redeem their reward online or at a designated location.
Does Glocal track only events?
Right now, yes. Events are the simplest way to track impact activity,. Soon we’ll be able to offer ways for hosts to track non-event impact thru a Challenge feature. Challenges allow hosts/sponsors to issue a Challenge in the Feed. This would be an impact activity that is not time or location-based, but Glocal will still certify the participation and reward based on completing a Challenge..
